LEO-NET

Leveraging Education into Organisations - Network for Academic Mobility is a network of more than 160 dynamic partners from universities, colleges and intermediate organisations in 32 European countries and beyond, all of them involved in Academic Mobility within the European Lifelong Learning Programme. LEO-NET was founded in 1999 and was initiated at the EAIE * in Maastricht, The Netherlands, the same year. In 2000 at EAIE in Leipzig, Germany, LEO-NET was set into operation by its members.
The idea was to establish a kind of platform for discussion of common opportunities and challenges, as well as the development of strategies for improvement in the field of higher education.
Stimulation and facilitation of internationalisation of higher education in Europe is a major goal of the network. The still growing number of members proves that the communication and interaction between the partners is needed in order to guarantee a high level of quality of student and graduate placements within Europe under the Lifelong Learning Programme 2007-2013.
Members and all interested parties have the opportunity to participate in Workshops organised by LEO-NET where they can learn and hear more about specific topics in higher education mobility projects, especially
how to handle mobility projects, project mangement and reporting as well as networking amongst partners of all over Europe, which probably constitutes the main attractive feature to enable close co-operation across Europe
